Anything new?

I applied for a study permit to Canada authority 2 weeks ago, and finally I was given a permit certificate from it last week with a help of a visa agent. She made an utmost effort to get it lapidly so it took us just 1 week until we receive this accept letter. I appreciate her very much and I want to rely on her when I would apply for a permanent visa in the future too. Any way, all I have to do for the time being is to prepare for going to Canada and living a new life there.

Besides this, my laptop was broken last week too. Thus I bought a new one instead of it. Regarding the broken one, I asked a customer center in an electric appliance shop to fix it and in 5 days he called me that the repair cost would be over 40 thousand dollars. It sounded much more expensive than I had expected, therefore I thought it for a couple days. After all, 3 days later, I called him and answered Yes. Now, I’m waiting for it recovered and returned.

Are you annoyed when your partner, husband or wife flirts with someone else?

I don’t have a wife right now so I would like to answer this question hypothetically. If I had a wife and she would flirt with someone else, I might get annoyed with her a little bit because I would feel jealous. Hoever I don't think I could prevail her not to do because I'm not good at arguing. 

Do bad mannered people upset you?

Even if I meet someone who is really rude and bad mannered, I wouldn’t get upset so much. Instead of becoming angry, I would act in a different way, which is that I would just look at him and do nothing except for staring him while wondering when he would quit his actions. I don’t have enough bravery that could make it possible to persuade him not to do that. But I also can’t stand it too. Therefore, I have no choice but to stare at him.

Who can make you angry easily?

Regarding this question, I also don’t get angry easily. I am seldom upset with everything unless it is serious. Just once when I was working with my colleague and he did something dangerous in front of a machine, I seriously warned him. But no more than that. It is not easy to come up with any situations when I got angry at something.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a steal in terms of works such as books, music, papers and so on. If people do plagiarism, it means they steal some contents or ideas from someone else by imitating their works. Apparently, this is a crime.

Why do you think people plagiarize? Basically, the reasons why people plagiarize are due to the lack of their own ideas. They can’t make up original contents by themselves, they tend to steal other people’s ideas.

Have you ever broken Copyright rules? Personally, I’ve never broken Copyright rules. While working 2 years ago, I was in a research institute. I always pay attention not to violate copyright rules because if I broke them only once, it could lead to loss of the company. Therefore, although I sometimes refer to some papers I never violate the rules.

What are some characteristics of your personality?
I describe myself as a shy and calm person. I’m not good at talking in public. Whenever I have to speak to members in class, I have a hard time because of my this trait. Even if the situation is more casual, I have difficulty in expressing my opinion or thoughts. Regarding calm, I can be always calm even if something really annoying happens to me. For instance, when I took a train before, there was a guy who was so loud talking someone on his phone that people near him looked at him with look of annoyance, I could stand it. For these reasons, I suppose my personality is shy and calm.

What makes you happy?
I feel happy whenever I eat something delicious in restaurants, particularly when with close friends. I said that I’m shy but close friends or family are exceptions. I always enjoy talking with them and I could become more talkative. I also become happy when I go to bed after a tough day. When I was working, I was always exhausted by complicated studies and researches and I ended up falling down on my bed without eating anything.

What are some things that make you angry?
As I said earlier, I don’t get mad readily. However, I very rarely find myself becoming annoyed when I happen to come across people who are stink. They seem to be spending one or more weeks without taking a bath. Whenever I encounter such a stinky person, I always run away.

Why do people immigrate to other countries?

I suppose there are a lot of reasons why people immigrate to other countries. For one thing, I think wars or terrorisms could be important reasons. People flee their own countries if some conflicts happen in their own countries, that is occurring in the middle east and some African countries currently. For another thing, people leave countries in order to lead new lives in new countries because they hope to get new jobs or they want to study in universities abroad.

Is immigration from one country to another a problem?

It depends on the number of immigrants. For instance, in Europe countries today, they are suffering flows of immigrants from many countries and they began to give up accepting them because of not only financial reasons but also safety reasons. And as the number increases, job opportunities nationals originally have could possibly decline due to the increase of population especially in urban areas. Therefore, I would say both advantages and disadvantages are possible.

Do you think that immigrants are treated well in most countries?

In comparison with the past, the current situation seems to have become worse, in particular in some countries. The more terrorism happen in the world, the more carefully we become regarding accepting immigrates who have specific religious. Sadly, the world became more aware of the danger of taking in many foreigners even if they are definitely safe people. No matter how they act, people don’t care and they reject easily without hegitation. Even if they are fortunately accepted, it is usual that they would have to go through really tough moments in new countries because they usually can’t get jobs or study in school properly because of some prejudice.

Single Life

Why do you think some people remain single?

I guess there are some reasons why people chose to be single. For one thing, in particular young generation, they tend to be in short of money and they can’t afford to get married because they just began to work. Besides this, those who are working very hard also lose interest to be married. These people put their priority on working rather than being married. Furthermore, some people can’t get married due to their characteristics or shyness. People who are slow to mature tend to miss opportunities to get married and they grow old without partners.

Would you like to be single all your life?

I would like to get married to someone someday. Currently, I can’t because I have to focus on studying to get jobs but when I graduate school and get a work, I wish to meet an ideal partner and get married. I hope it will happen at least until I become 40 years old.

Do you think that single people like being single?

I suppose single people mostly like being single. Above all, those who have expensive hobbies tend to prefer to be single, in particular. Once they get married, they might lose opportunities to do them because, in most cases , people who get married have to take care of partners or children even if that could lead them to sacrifice their own time or money. Maintaining household is basically more complicated than being single that doesn’t require us being conservative at all. Personally, I also think being single is easier and comfortable, at least now when there are a lot of things to do.

White Lies

Are white lies good or bad?

I guess white lies are usually good. Good lies are sometimes necessary for people not to hurt people by saying something bad. Good lies have strength that make atmosphere brighter and more pleasant.

Can you lie without lying?

It is difficult to answer. To begin with, I can’t understand the meaning of this question. However people perhaps could lie without lying, though I can’t come up any examples about this.

Is a white lie still classified a lie?

In my view, white lie seems not to be classified a lie but generally it is classified a lie. Because, there is no difference between a white lie and a normal lie in terms of the fact that people are not saying the truth. However, personally I with a white lie isn’t categorized into a lie.

Is it okay to tell white lies?

I would say it depends on the situation we tell lies and the frequency we use them. Firstly, there are some cases where we shouldn’t use lies. For instance, conferences or meetings at companies are not proper places to use lies because we expect all the employees to be serious and accurate. Secondly, if we use lies a lot every moments, people would turn out to be suspicious about the remarks those people said. And eventually, people who lie a lot could end up being disliked by everyone. Therefore, we should use lies moderately even if they are white lies or not. Mostly white lies are good things, though.

Does telling a white lie make you a bad person?

As I talked about earlier, it depends on the places and the number we use lies. Lying too much would lead to the conseqence that we become ones no one trust at all.
